While Kristine Kirkconnell (33 and an interior designer) and Kyle Williams (29 and an accountant) were vacationing in Negril, Jamaica, having a candle lit dinner inside a cave, Kyle began rushing Krissy to finish her food. “I forgave him when I realized what the rush was!” says Kristine — a proposal! Since Kristine grew up in the Cayman Islands and her family has a strong connection with the island’s history, it was fitting that the two were married there. The pair chose Pedro St. James Castle as their wedding venue and with overlooking views of the Caribbean Sea, it was the perfect location for their nuptials. Since Kristine’s family has such strong ties to the area, her cousin had actually been married at the same exact place a few years prior. The difficulty for Kristine and Kyle was to make the wedding seem different enough from her cousin’s wedding while still embracing the family history just as much. The couple chose a silver and bright yellow color palette that brought their cheerful personalities directly into the celebration.
